The Pratauer Bauern­volk was foun­ded in 2000 and has been act­ively involved in organ­iz­ing the fest­iv­al ​“Luther’s Wed­ding” since 2004. The group por­trays the life of the rur­al peas­antry and offers an authen­t­ic glimpse into every­day farm life in cen­tur­ies past. Through tra­di­tion­al crafts, his­tor­ic­al cos­tumes, and culin­ary offer­ings, they cre­ate a lively encamp­ment that invites vis­it­ors to linger. Par­tic­u­larly pop­u­lar are the homemade aronia wine and Rosi’s cherry beer punch, which add a fla­vor­ful touch to the his­tor­ic­al exper­i­ence. Tra­di­tion­ally, the Bauern­volk also accom­pan­ies the bride and groom dur­ing the parade through the city.
