Numer­ous clubs and his­tor­ic­al groups con­trib­ute to the Luther­’s Wed­ding Fest­iv­al each year with great ded­ic­a­tion. Through his­tor­ic­al reen­act­ments, camp life, crafts, music, dance, and culin­ary offer­ings, they bring the Reform­a­tion era to life and provide insights into life in cen­tur­ies past.

About the Clubs 

There is a gen­er­al ban on weapons at the fest­iv­al. Please refrain from car­ry­ing knives or oth­er items that could be clas­si­fied as weapons under the rel­ev­ant legis­la­tion. These items can­not be taken into safe­keep­ing either.

The ban on car­ry­ing weapons does not apply to pre-registered mem­bers of tra­di­tion­al Wit­ten­berg clubs and guest clubs offi­cially invited by the town of Wit­ten­berg. These indi­vidu­als carry his­tor­ic­al cut­ting and stabbing weapons exclus­ively in the con­text of staged per­form­ances, and they are registered by name in advance. They can be clearly iden­ti­fied by stand­ard­ised fea­tures for secur­ity forces.

Pho­to­graphs and videos will be taken dur­ing the event. These are used for pub­lic rela­tions and report­ing on the event (e.g., on our web­site, on social media, and in the print and online media of Luth­er­stadt Wit­ten­berg Mar­ket­ing GmbH).

The record­ings are made on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legit­im­ate interest in pub­lic rela­tions). By enter­ing the event grounds, it can­not be ruled out that you may be recog­niz­able in the recordings.

If you do not wish to be recor­ded, please speak dir­ectly to our photographers.

Please note that dur­ing event hours, there is a ban on bicycles, e‑bikes, ped­elecs, e‑scooters, and sim­il­ar vehicles with­in the fest­iv­al grounds. The only excep­tions to this rule are elec­tric wheel­chairs and mobil­ity scoot­ers for seni­ors and oth­er people with lim­ited mobility.

Res­taur­at­eurs are pro­hib­ited from serving alco­hol­ic bever­ages to per­sons under the age of 16. Res­taur­at­eurs must clearly indic­ate this pro­hib­i­tion by dis­play­ing a copy of the Youth Pro­tec­tion Act as of 2024.
