The asso­ci­ation Luth­ers Fre­unde e.V., foun­ded in 1998, is ded­ic­ated to por­tray­ing Mar­tin Luther’s sig­ni­fic­ant com­pan­ions and their roles in the his­tory of the Reform­a­tion. Mem­bers por­tray fig­ures such as Johannes Bugen­ha­gen, Jus­tus Jonas, Georg Spal­at­in, and oth­ers. They bring his­tor­ic­al fig­ures to life. Dressed in authen­t­ic cos­tumes, they vividly con­vey the intel­lec­tu­al and social con­text of the Reform­a­tion. Dur­ing Luther’s wed­ding, they par­ti­cip­ate in the pro­ces­sion and offer vis­it­ors insights into the lives and work of the reformers, as well as their fam­ily and courtly surroundings.
