The Kien­ber­ger Schwar­ze Haufen was foun­ded in 2006 at Burg Raben in the Fläming region and is a com­munity of his­tory enthu­si­asts ded­ic­ated to the liv­ing reen­act­ment of bygone eras. Through numer­ous his­tor­ic­al fest­ivals, new mem­bers have con­tinu­ally joined the group, so that today around 30 par­ti­cipants from vari­ous regions of Ger­many share in camp life, with a focus on the Wit­ten­berg area and Saxony-Anhalt.

At Luther’s wed­ding, the Schwar­ze Haufen will present a diverse his­tor­ic­al encamp­ment that brings togeth­er dif­fer­ent eras. Since there is no set dress code, vis­it­ors will encounter a col­or­ful mix of Vik­ings, Land­sknechts, trav­el­ers, and oth­er his­tor­ic­al fig­ures. Weapons and armor are on dis­play, as well as com­mun­al cook­ing, crafts, and social gath­er­ings around the camp­fire. Stor­ies, inter­ac­tion, and com­munity are at the heart of the exper­i­ence, con­vey­ing a vivid pic­ture of his­tor­ic­al daily life.
