The Jäger­schaft Wit­ten­berg 2020 e.V. is a non­profit asso­ci­ation with approx­im­ately 60 mem­bers ded­ic­ated to nature con­ser­va­tion, spe­cies pro­tec­tion, and the pre­ser­va­tion of hunt­ing tra­di­tions. Mod­ern ini­ti­at­ives, such as fawn res­cue using drones, are com­bined with his­tor­ic­al cus­toms and envir­on­ment­al education.

Dur­ing Luther’s wed­ding, the asso­ci­ation appears as the ​“Kur­fürst­liche Jäger­schaft” and con­veys the his­tor­ic­al sig­ni­fic­ance of hunt­ing to vis­it­ors. In addi­tion to par­ti­cip­at­ing in the parade, culin­ary offer­ings and vivid demon­stra­tions provide authen­t­ic insights into hunt­ing traditions.
